We're Back for 2021

2020 started so promising for us. We began the year w/ 500+ heads in the Capital Room for From Ashes To New which parlayed two weeks later to filling Stage on Herr w/ Green Jelly and debuting The Phantom of The Caution on a Harrisburg stage. Then we stocked Stage on Herr on a Tuesday night w/ King 810. We had a slew of shows lined up for the upcoming months after such a storybook start to the year…

We hosted Doll Skin and Fame on Fire in early March and then everything went to shit. Covid hit and we had to cancel a show here, then a show there and eventually everything we had in the works for the entire year. We had an Ozzfest Tribute show that we had lined Tribute’s to Ozzy, Disturbed, System of a Down and more plus a side stage of all local metal bands. That was postponed until likely 2022. We could go on and on but the point is 2020 was looking like our year. When Covid hit everything halted and we simply haven’t gotten back in the game just yet.

There was talks of us diving head first in the second clubs opened, we even had offers to book a few shows in the midst of the pandemic which we highly considered but ultimately were not comfortable doing w/ so many of our loyal concert goers feeling uncomfortable going out to shows. We didn’t want anyone to miss what we would be booking based on their beliefs and feelings on this life altering event. So we decided to hold off. Even as I sit here nearing mid June there is shows going on and clubs calendars filling up w/ dates. So where is 717 Entertainment? Why isn’t our schedule full? What happened to the machine that essentially kept HMAC on the map during its darkest hours???

We believe in timing. Coming out at the front end of everything opening up just isn’t our style as it seems. Do we have Irons in the fire? Always. Will announcements be coming? Of course. When, where and with who? All this will come out in time, we’ve been in contact w/ no less than 4 venues around the area. We’ve announced one show thus far that being The Queers w/ Don’t Panic at HMAC in September and naturally we have more to come.

The point to all this is to simply say “we miss you guys” and “we will be back when the time is right”. There will be no disappointment in you when we are able to come out w/ information regarding our 2021. Its a long game as we don’t plan on bringing in Limp Bizkit and Korn to Harrisburg this year. But maybe one day… We can’t wait to see everyone again and are extremely happy to see live music back on the map with you guys supporting it more than ever!!!!!
