This star studded event included 4 regional bands and only 3 locals. The even also began the reign of Carving Out Fiction as the band would win Artist of the year this year and continue to hold that title the next two years until the shows final evening.

The show was the first and only time a non local band won best new artist as W.V. based band Defending Cain took the crown this year. Also Carving Out Fiction repeated as album of the year winners which hadn't been done, nor has it since.
